Overview
The Embold Project’s school-based workshops provide culturally responsive natural hair education through interactive lessons, hands-on activities, and affirmations that support student confidence and belonging.
Timing:
Workshops are offered afterschool from 4PM - 7PM
Length:
Standard workshops are 1.5 hours, but can be modified to fit your school’s needs.

01: Open Conversation
Students participate in guided, age-appropriate conversations about natural hair, identity, and self-expression. These discussions create a safe space for students to share experiences, ask questions, and reflect on how confidence and self-care show up in their daily school lives.

02: Natural Hair Lesson
Students take part in a hands-on natural hair lesson using curly-hair dolls. Through guided instruction, they learn basic hair care techniques, product use, and healthy routines while practicing styling skills.

03: Affirmation Craft
Students take part in a creative affirmation activity where they design personalized affirmations focused on self-confidence, pride in their hair, and positive self-image.

04: Kit Giveaway
Each student receives an Embold Natural Hair Kit that includes culturally relevant hair care products and educational materials. These kits support students in continuing healthy hair care routines at home and reinforce the lessons learned during the workshop.
